Thoughts on the 2007 Golden Globe Nominees
They've got nominees, we've got opinions.

Right off the bat I'm wondering how seven films were nominated in the drama category. I guess it's an easier process if a whopping twelve films are nominated for the "best" of something. The big winner today seems to be Atonement which was nominated for seven Golden Globes. Looks like Ian McEwan is in for a very festive next few months. Charlie Wilson's War gained momentum with five nominations, but I think once the film is seen a bit wider it will falter. I certainly don't look for it to make a splash come Oscar time. Michael Clayton, Sweeney Todd, and No Country for Old Men each scooped up four nominations, both No Country and Clayton are looking like mortal locks to take a lot of hardware home this awards season. Okay, we've got a ton to get to so let's start breaking the Golden Globe Motion Picture Nominations down!
