It's been a tiring week. Three movies screened (Love Guru, Get Smart and Wanted), and we've got reviews available for two out of three. (Wanted isn't allowed to go up until next week. Very sad.) Let's see here, what else went down ... well, how about a photo gallery? We came up with the very sultry Celebs at the Beach in swimwear, plus the almost as sultry Justin Timberlake, Elisha Cuthbert, Don Cheadle, and Jess Alba. You're probably aware that JT and Alba star in Love Guru, while we're just fans of Don Cheadle and Elisha Cuthbert (although we'll agree that Captivity was clearly terrible). We gave Mike Myers a pass with an official B- ... but then we regrouped and bashed his film too. Get Smart also got a B-, but I'd say that it's the one to see if you're heading out this weekend. Have we mentioned yet that we're not officially allowed to talk about Wanted? Ahem. But it's really good!! Okay, okay, if they want to sue us for breaking THAT news we'll capitulate. Love you Universal Studios, smooches! Our DVD section produced a beautiful skewering of Roscoe Jenkins. Welcome to the tribe, Dawn Taylor! It was also hard not to dig the gentle musings of our Movie Mom, Sue Harvey, as she introduced her little ones to Casablanca. Over in the TV section, Amy Kane lamented the loss of the opening credits. I'm totally with her; in fact I break out into the Growing Pains theme song every chance I get. We also looked at the new swinger show on CBS. C'mon, you know you're a little interested. The Film.com flying fortress was also overrun with new and quality trailers this week. We came up with the new Spike Lee joint, Miracle at Saint Anna. We also featured Death Race and The Punisher: War Zone. But my personal favorite of the week was City of Ember. It looks like a nice cross between 5th Element, The Matrix and Total Recall. Finally, are you in need of a contest? Wanted has a nice mash-up contest going down. I would enter but I think I'm not eligible. Typical! That's all for now. I've got to clean my apartment before my wife gets home (she's been traveling on bidness). The place is a mess. Not good times. Oh, but before I go here's a tease for next week's big stories! *The Best small-screen films See you soon, my pretties! Love, Most Popular Stories
