Some final notes on Fox before ABC arrives at the circus tomorrow: --We got a sneak peek at the 24 prequel, which has Jack Bauer in Africa running around and saving children and looking intense. It felt like a movie trailer, which is not entirely out of the realm of possibility after the series ends. Meantime, it's inauguration day in Washington, D.C., which neatly sets up the new season of 24 when it returns to Fox mid-season in January. --Mariah Carey will perform at Teen Choice 2008, not to be confused with Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards, where the songbird met lovebird Nick Cannon (who hosted Teen Choice 2007). Is it weird to anyone else how big these tween-driven award shows have become? Miley Cyrus I can understand, but Mariah Carey? I guess she really does like 'em young. Anyway. Teen Choice airs Aug. 4 on Fox. --Early names (or rather, voices) attached to the upcoming Family Guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show: Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long and Kevin Michael Richardson (not to be confused with Michael Richards, i.e. Kramer from Seinfeld). The Cleveland Show follows soft-spoken neighbor Cleveland Brown to his hometown of Virginia, where he goes all Brady Bunch with his high-school sweetheart Donna and her unruly kids. The show will premiere in 2009. --MADtv will add four cast members when its returns Sept. 13: Erica Ash, Matt Braunger, Eric Price and Lauren Pritchard. Comments
