The veto did not get used today, which means the Jen-Ryan relationship will be broken up on Wednesday. Considering these two actually had sex in the house, they haven't really been that interesting. In fact, even though we've had no shortage of drama in these first few days, most of the drama really hasn't involved gameplay, because the pairs have simplified things may too much. I might talk more about this tomorrow. I might also throw in a few words about tonight's show, which I still haven't gotten to see because I socializing away from the tube. Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, it's an annual occurrence.

But wow, what an unpleasant argument late this evening, which sent Amanda to the DR for a mental health break for a good 90 minutes. It seems to have been building as the result of Amanda's commentary yesterday and today to the effect that Alex had been too friendly in bed with her. Amanda has been gleefully stirring things up since the minute they all walked in the house so it's not surprising she would eventually be at the center of a dramatic blowup, but I'm not sure where the accusation arose that Amanda had literally accused Alex of attempting rape--if it happened, I missed it--and I don't think Amanda deserved the lambasting Chelsia and (especially) Joshuah delivered to her. And of course, I also have my doubts that Josh and/or Chelsia poked fun at the suicide of Amanda's father or suggested she kill herself.

It's all a mess, the end result being that "soulmates" Alex and Amanda have apparently gotten permission to now sleep in separate rooms. Bottom line is Amanda needs to take some responsibility for the natural end result of her continual dramatics, and the other drama queens in the house, Joshuah and Sharon chief among them, might want to follow Sheila's example and try to lower the temperature.

Maybe everyone else saw it differently than me?
