BREAKING HOUSEWIVES NEWS!!! I was counting the days until The Real Housewives of New Jersey. But Bravo just announced that the next season will be set in Atlanta, or as they call it, "Hotlanta." I feel duped! I immediately sent an e-mail to the Bravo publicist: "OMG!!!!!!!!!! Is New Jersey not happening anymore?" I know, very professional. But this is serious.

Happily, she assured me that NJ is still happening. Relief.

Anyway. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is the most diverse cast yet. Only one is blonde. Meet the five glamorous southern belles:

DeShawn Snow: Married to Eric, captain of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Mother to three boys. Goes to church a lot.

Kim Zolciak: Lives in an exclusive gated townhouse community (how very "OC") with her two kids. Single, dating, and aspires to be a country singer.

Lisa Wu Hartwell: Lives in an exclusive country club community in Duluth. Is a busy career woman, juggling acting, modeling, writing as well as a jewelry line and baby clothing business. Married to NFL player Ed Hartwell, has three kids.

NeNe Leakes: The "outspoken social butterfly" of the group. Lives in the upscale Sugarloaf area of Atlanta with husband Gregg and their two sons. Wants to open a luxury boutique hotel in the near future.

Sheree Whitfield: Single socialite and working mom to three kids. Owns an upscale clothing boutique and is quite the fashionista, apparently.

Bravo will air a 30-minute preview special of the series on July 30 at midnight after the rebroadcast of "Project Runway." Interesting timeslot.
