How do you make the leap from Mr. Blackwell's oh-no-she-didn't list to one of People's best dressed in less than a year? Maybe by singing songs like "Glamorous" so often that you actually start to believe them. At least that's what worked for Fergie. The singer was named one of People magazine's favorite fashionistas.

The 2008 best-dressed list focuses on women who express their personal styles, and includes Hollywood glamor girls Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth "better than ever" Paltrow and Eva Mendes. Also featured, fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker, who proved she can rule the box office and the red carpet in the same year, and Heidi Klum, who racked up another credential for judging Project Runway. Like Fergie, Rihanna brought a little edge to the style game. Her funky looks and chic, often-imitated haircuts have made her a woman to watch. Michelle Obama rounded out the list, proving she's the candidate to bring style to the White House.

People's 2008 Best and Worst Dressed issue hits newsstands Friday. See photos of the ten best dressed women at LillyLikes.com.
