In the end, it wasn't even close. No Country for Old Men is our choice for Film of the Year, and as we're Film.com we think that's really saying something. Not that we're alone on loving this movie, 165 of 174 critics agree (and honestly, we haven't taken Andrew Sarris' opinion seriously in quite some time). We join The Associated Press in ranking it tops - one could do worse. The Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards have chimed in too. Within our own critical brethren the film nabbed the top slot on Mr. Eric Snider's list, while MaryAnn, Dre, and the mysterious RB all ranked it fourth. Our DVD editor-in-chief called it his top movie of the year and I had it second only to Atonement. Here's the rest of the top ten as voted upon by the Film.com staff and writer core: 1. No Country for Old Men (our review) Next up: A "Best Picture" nomination from the Academy? Here's hoping. Most Popular Stories
