The Naked Cowboy Is Getting His Own TV Show
The humiliating years of public semi-nudity have finally paid off.
NEW YORK - JUNE 24: The street performer Robert Burck, who is known as the Naked Cowboy, performs for pedestrians June 24, 2008 in Times Square in New York City. The $6-million lawsuit filed by the Burck against M&Ms candy maker Mars Incorporated can go forward on grounds of trademark infringement a New York judge has ruled. Burck filed the suit about video billboards depicting a blue M&M dressed in his signature outfit in an animated cartoon it ran on two video billboards in Times Square. Hey, so you know that dude who's been wandering around Times Square in his underwear, a cowboy hat and a guitar for the past bazillion years? It finally paid off. Robert Burck, aka The Naked Cowboy, has inked a reality TV deal. Burck will judge the talents of street performers such as himself in an American Idol-style competition. "I want to see people like me, the real deal," the Naked Cowboy said in an interview with the New York Post. "I'm looking for character more than anything. You could be the greatest musician in the world, but if you stand in jeans and a T-shirt next to me, no one will notice you." The show is set to air on Country Music Television. You know what I want to see? I want a reality show about those mole people who live under the subways in NYC. I read a book about them when I first moved there, and then spent the rest of my time there staring out the windows of the subway cars hoping for a glimpse of the mole people. Are you listening, Hollywood? I WANT MOLE PEOPLE! The Evil Beet Celebrity gossip with an evil twist. Most Popular Stories
