It turns out that filming a reality show isn't the brightest idea Denise Richards ever had. There's plenty more on that list, but -- bygones.

Viewers of Denise Richards: It's Complicated have seen that Denise's home is overrun with animals, including 14 dogs and a pot-bellied pig or two. Now Star magazine is reporting that Denise is in trouble with the L.A. County Department of Animal Care & Control. Apparently, having more than three dogs in a household requires a kennel license. Paris Hilton, can you hear me?

Her neighbors aren't happy with her, either. Star's unnamed "sources" -- read: paparazzi -- say fellow residents of the posh Hidden Hills are complaining about the media/animal circus. Denise has reportedly put her home up for sale. I believe she also has a scarlet letter "A" emblazoned on her forehead, but that's unconfirmed.

At least she got rid of the dog that was giving her the biggest headache: Charlie Sheen.
