Will Hannah Montana or the star of The Eye be the "It Girl" this weekend at the box office?

Once again, it's a weekend battle of head-to-head stars. In this corner, we have the girl of the hour, the lady with the hottest ticket in town, Hannah Montana herself, Ms. Miley Cyrus. And in this corner we have longtime Maxim favorite and fantasy girl extraordinaire, Jessica Alba. You know the rules. Let's drop the cage. Two women enter! One woman leaves!

In the box office this weekend: Winner = Cyrus
The box office is flush with adult themed films. There is NOTHING for kids. And if there are any kids in this country that don't want to see this concert this weekend, I sure haven't met them. The Eye, on the other hand, is another dumped J-horror remake. Cyrus is gonna take this in a walk.

In the critical arena: Winner = no one
The Eye isn't being screened for critics, always a good sign. Neither is Hannah Montana, but being a concert film of an artist aimed about 20 years younger than the critical audience, why would you? Expect a lot of griping about having no screenings and little or no good word about either from those who pay to see it instead.

In their careers: Winner = Cyrus
Alba's beautiful, but she's been in the business for over a decade now. She's got a following, but mostly with men. She hasn't proved that she's a strong enough actress to move on to more mature roles when her youth fades, and her body of work has thus far been less than stellar. She's been in a lot of crap. Cyrus is up and coming, but HUGE right now. Her parents have crafted a very smart career for her and if she keeps on the path and doesn't make the Hillary Duff mistake of bailing out on Disney too early, then she could be the next Lindsay Lohan/Britney Spears. Oh, wait…

In my heart of hearts: Winner = Alba
I knock her around a bit, but I love her, I do. To me she'll always be that feisty love interest in Idle Hands, and I'll watch her for years to come. Although, that said, it would be a lot easier if she would stop choosing films like The Eye and Good Luck Chuck and Into the Blue and Awake and Fantastic Four and Honey

Winner = Cyrus
She's gonna have a hit on her hands this weekend. Alba won't.
