Live Voting All Season?

It appears all evictions will be live this year, but is there any audience to care?

In previous seasons the voting for the first few evictions was always recorded. I think it was done for a couple of reasons. The producers would know 24 hours in advance who was leaving and could edit the show to add to the tensions. The could also order the votes so that if it was close it would be a "cliffhanger."

However this year it appears the voting will be live for all evictions - the house guests have already recorded their "goodbyes" to both sets of nominees and so all they have left to do it cast their votes.

I am totally ok with the live vote since I have the live feeds, the people missing out at the ones that only watch the TV show because the live voting takes longer than the pre-recorded voting - watching the HGs walk in and out of the Diary Room eats away at precious show time.

The ratings have started off slowly - they always do but I am fearful that these ratings will ensure that the couples stay in tact and the season is a short one (one theory is that if the show is a "hit" that the couples will be split up to extend the show to a more normal time line). CBS took 1st during the 8pm hour with 60 minutes and slipped to tied for 3rd the next hour with Big Brother - that is a lot of people changing channels.

Perhaps interest will pick up if the HGs sexyal escapades are highlighted on Tuesday and Wednesday's show. We'll see.
