It's getting real for reality TV family the Gosselins: People.com is reporting that Jon and Kate have filed for divorce.
The news comes on the heels of reports that Jon Gosselin was spotted apartment-hunting in Manhattan last week. The Gosselins and their eight young children live in Pennsylvania.
The official announcement will likely come tonight on TLC's much-hyped "special episode" of Jon & Kate Plus 8. The reality couple marked their 10-year anniversary -- separately -- on June 12.
People.com says documents to initiate the split were filed Monday in Pennsylvania.
It remains to be seen what this means for the reality show, which centers on the Gosselins as a normal couple raising their brood. The family has already signed on for 40 episodes of the show this season.
