Indiana Jones and the Entirely Expected DVD Re-releases
Dust off that fedora! Here come Raiders, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade in new DVD editions.
Paramount Pictures
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (official site) will whip-crack its way into theaters on May 22. Naturally that means we'll also be seeing new editions of its three beloved predecessors on little shiny discs. Paramount has marked May 13 as the release date for new DVDs of Raiders of the Lost Ark (rather, its post hoc expanded title Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark; at least they didn't stick a colon in the middle), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Along with the restored and remastered films, these individually released DVDs will add new bonus material, including, of course, tie-ins to Crystal Skull. Each DVD will also add a "Demo and Trailer" for this summer's video game, Lego Indiana Jones. We have not yet received confirmation that Blu-ray editions are in the works, although we're banking on them being inevitable and not far away. Paramount released these details about the upcoming releases: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark will include: Raiders of the Lost Ark: An Introduction by Steven Spielberg & George Lucas Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom will include: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: An Introduction by Steven Spielberg & George Lucas Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will include: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: An Introduction by Steven Spielberg & George Lucas Most Popular Stories
