New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, which got me wondering: If I could kiss any actress, personality, or character on television today at the stroke of midnight, who would I pick? As always, my greed got the best of me. I chose ten I’d like to line up to make out with this New Year’s Eve. Who would you pick?

Heidi Klum, Project Runway
Do I even have to explain this one? The only way to make Klum hotter is to knock her up, which I hope Seal has done for Christmas. God, I hate that man.

Number Six, Battlestar Galactica
Yeah, yeah, I know Number Six (Tricia Helfer) is pretty much responsible for the nearly complete genocide of the human race on Battlestar Galactica, but have you noticed how good she looked while doing it? Since then, she’s found love in the arms of Dr. Gaius Baltar, an egocentric genius with messianic delusions, which means she’d probably find me attractive, too. Score.

Liz Lemon/Tina Fey, 30 Rock
There has been no funnier, smarter, or more brilliant sitcom writer on television in the past ten years than Tina Fey, which makes her alter-ego, Liz Lemon, just as hot.

Rose Tyler, Doctor Who
Who wouldn’t want to make out with Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), the stubborn girl next door who served as Doctor Who’s sidekick and kind of love interest in the first two seasons of the latest television version of the iconic British TV series? Piper left the show this year, but that doesn’t change how much I enjoyed her character’s constant willingness to dimensionally leap about the galaxy for the fun of it.

Samantha Bee, Daily Show contributor
It’s not that Samantha Bee is hot. She’s cute, sure, but compared to some of the other faces on here, she doesn’t really match up. No, Bee is here because she is consistently the funniest correspondent on The Daily Show since Stephen Colbert left. What can I say? I like a girl who can make me laugh.

Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, Battlestar Galactica
She’s hot; she curses as much as a Quentin Tarantino character; and she likes to drink, fistfight, and put out. What’s not to like?

Ana Marie Cox, CNN political pundit
Cox was the founding editor of political super-blog, wonkette.com, and has since become an influential pundit in Washington, DC. Smart, funny, ragingly liberal, and, if that wasn’t enough, um, hot; I’d probably ruin the kiss by insisting she talk about the 2008 presidential election while sticking her tongue in my mouth.

Carla Gugino, Entourage
Sure, her stint on Entourage was as short-lived as her character’s tenure as Vinnie’s agent, but let’s not forget her other short-lived TV venture as Karen Sisco. As for a reason why I’d let her kiss me on New Year’s Eve… well, have you seen her – you know, all of her – in Sin City?

Sharon “Athena” Valerii, Battlestar Galactica
Sharon Valerii (Grace Park) is a Cylon with a heart of gold. To be honest, I’m not even sure how to rank my Battlestar picks. Couldn’t I just have all three?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, The View
I don’t really have any interest in making out with Hasselbeck on New Year’s Eve or any other night of the year, for that matter. Mostly, I’d use my charms to lure her into a kiss, then inject her with some sort of truth serum to make the conservative wench admit, “Yes, I listen to Ann Coulter books on tape and I like them!”
