These infamous mean girls keep us riveted to the screen.

Who's the biggest bitch in Hollywood?

Heather Locklear single-handedly saved the original Melrose Place in the '90s by personifying the slogan, "Mondays are a bitch." Shannen Doherty blurred the line between fiction and reality as the most difficult character on- and offscreen on Beverly Hills, 90210. And now there's a whole new slew of beautiful and bitchy girls ready to take their places, from MTV to reality TV.

Here's our list of favorite Hollywood mean girls:

Heather Locklear on Melrose Place
Don't hate Heather Locklear because she's beautiful. Or do. She doesn't care. Heather earned her bitch status while playing Amanda Woodward on the original Melrose Place. She played the catty, uncaring, mega-bitch just a little too naturally. Way to earn the bitch stripes, Heather.

Olivia Palermo on The City
Posing initially as Whitney Port's personal guide to the New York social scene, Olivia Palermo turns on poor unassuming Whitney faster than you can say "Bitch stole my credit for a magazine cover." Although Olivia seems to be having a harder time manipulating at her new job this season, we're sure she's one or two episodes away from a major scuffle.

Shannen Doherty on Beverly Hills, 90210
On the show that first made the zip code 90210 famous, Shannen Doherty made serious waves playing the boyfriend-stealing Brenda Walsh. Reportedly due to on-set friction, Doherty was written out by "going to London for a year" and then not returning to Beverly Hills until the most recent iteration of the show in 2008.

Annie Wersching

Kristin Cavallari on The Hills
Before MTV exclaimed so proudly that the "bitch was back" on this season of The Hills, we knew Kristin Cavallari as the bane of Lauren Conrad's existence on Laguna Beach. Kristin possesses a most-feared quality in all women -- she can like, totally, get like any guy she wants, whenever she wants him. Poor Audrina Patridge is learning this one the hard way on this season of The Hills.

Annie Wersching

Michelle Trachtenberg on Gossip Girl
You may remember her as a precocious little girl in Harriet the Spy, but tune into Gossip Girl any Monday night and you'll soon learn that Michelle Trachtenberg is all grown up. As the master of all truly dirty secrets in the lives of New York's elite, Georgina Sparks often finds herself taking even the Headband herself, Blair Waldorf, for a ride. She's already stirred up plenty of trouble this season, and we're certain she's not done.

Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls
This is a case of a role well played, because I don't think Rachel McAdams has the bitch gene in real life. Playing the original queen bee, Regina George, in Mean Girls, she ruled with an iron fist, setting strict boundaries and only coming close to toppling her power to Lindsay Lohan's Cady Heron. Tina Fey's writing make this bitchery both smart and hilarious.

Annie Wersching

Megan Fox in Transformers
One of the reasons Megan Fox is so well-liked is because she is totally off the handle. You know her publicist earns every cent of her salary by being able to spin the crazy stuff she says back into something reasonable. Unfortunately, during the filming of Transformers, Megan rubbed a lot of the crew the wrong way. So much so, that three of the crew members released a letter, calling her "dumb-as-a-rock," "Ms. Sourpants" "classless" and lastly, "an unfriendly bitch." Yikes. Megan may have the last laugh, though, because in response, director Michael Bay wrote, "The fact of the matter is I still love working with her."
