The Hills: Vegas is The New Paris, Audrina Is The New Heidi
The season finale was predictable: there was a confrontation between Lauren and Audrina and a reunion for Heidi and Spencer.

It's really over, folks. Can you believe it's already been eight weeks since the second half of this season kicked off with Lauren's trip to Paris? The girls have grown and changed so much since then. Lauren and Whitney got new jobs, the girls moved into a new house ... and um ... yeah, that was pretty much all that happened in this extension of season three. The season finale was just as uneventful as pretty much every other episode this season. Lauren and Lo spent a lot of time hanging around their new house complaining about how horrible it was that Audrina was keeping to herself in the guest house, minding her own business and doing absolutely nothing to bother them. They were upset that she hadn't come into the big house to hang out with them. But they hadn't gone out to visit her in the guest house, either, because it made them uncomfortable. Honestly, what did they think would happen if they went down there -- that Justin Bobby would magically appear to burp in their faces? Although both Lauren and Audrina are at fault for being so passive and not talking to each other, I still put the majority of the blame on Lauren and Lo. It's obvious that neither of them ever wanted Audrina in the house, but neither of them wanted to look bad by saying so. Now that they're not having as much fun as they thought they would, they're trying to force her out with their passive-aggressive behavior. Lo said herself that Audrina didn't owe them anything, but then backtracked and said that she expected her roommates to be her best friends, which Audrina obviously was not. But seriously, when have we seen Lo make an effort to even say hello to Audrina? It's clear to me that Lo wants to be sidekick number one, and sadly, she may get her wish. Lauren's teary confrontation with Audrina didn't resolve anything. It just made Lauren resent Audrina for implying that Lo was coming between them. Meanwhile, Heidi and Spencer were engaged in a bland rehash of Lauren's season one finale drama that I think we were supposed to find sweepingly romantic, but I just found nauseating. After sitting around Heidi's apartment looking lost for awhile, Spencer convinced Stephanie to tell him where Heidi was, then dragged his sister to Vegas to hunt down his lady love. He first embarrassed her by interrupting her business dinner. He then attempted to persuade her to take him back, by blaming all of their problems on things she'd done to him. It was as far from charming as you could get, but it somehow did the trick. Heidi gave up her promising job opportunity in Vegas to go home with her boyfriend, just as Lauren chose Jason over an internship in Paris all those years ago. Hopefully, history will continue to repeat itself and their relationship will meet the same fate as Lauren and Jason's. So, it you compare this season finale to storylines of the past: Lo would be the new Audrina, Audrina would be the new Heidi, and Heidi would be the new Lauren. Let's hope Lauren will shake things up in season four, because how much longer can we continue to watch nothing happen in this girl's life? Most Popular Stories
