Five Reasons We Love Ewan McGregor

Who doesn't love Ewan McGregor? Nobody. Time to remind ourselves why he is, like, the coolest guy ever.

Our boy Ewan McGregor -- surely the world's most favorite cinema personality ever -- is back this week in Woody Allen's new crime drama Cassandra's Dream. It's the perfect opportunity to remind ourselves why we venerate the man. Here's just the tip of the iceberg of our love:

1. Ewan does nudity.
Not that it's the nudity per se that we love. Frankly, men's bodies are not as totally fascinating as they'd like to think they are. But we love that Ewan is willing to make himself as vulnerable on screen as many women are expected -- often required -- to be. We think it makes him a more sensitive actor.

2. Ewan sings!
Who knew that lovely face and astonishing acting talent came with such a pleasant singing voice? We love how suave and smooth he was as a swingin' (and singin') '60s dude in Down With Love, but it's his angsty, lovelorn writer who croons out his heartache in Moulin Rouge! that makes us swoon.

3. Ewan has the Force.
His impersonation of Alec Guinness as the younger incarnation of Obi-Wan Kenobi was cool enough, but he wields that lightsaber like he was born to it. Truly, the Force is with him.

4. Ewan is Scottish.
It's the accent. Sorry. We're shallow. And we love it. Plus, he's been known to wear a kilt, which is the sexiest thing a man can wear.

5. Ewan's not perfect.
We'd have to hate him if he were perfect, but he's not: his phony American accent in Black Hawk Down was truly dreadful. But that's okay. It's like Cindy Crawford's mole: the tiny imperfection that adds character and brings the totally worshippable demigod down to earth.

Try it yourself! It's fun and easy! Why do you love Ewan?
