Animation, 3D
Bolt
A super-dog TV hero (voice of John Travolta) accidentally shipped from Hollywood to NYC, embarks on a cross-country quest to return to his owner and co-star Penny (voice of Miley Cyrus).
Carrey's A Christmas Carol
Jim Carrey unleashes his comic chaos as the voice of seven characters including Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas. Gary Oldman takes on Tiny Tim and a few others.
UP
78-year-old widower Carl and his wife once dreamed of exploring the world. When developers threaten to overtake his tiny home, he (and his house) have nowhere to go but up!
Cars 2
Lightning McQueen and Mater travel the world. As a pre-film preview Pixar will release a series of animated "Cars Toons" shorts theatrically and on the Disney Channel.
Animation, Old School
The Princess and the Frog
A new twist on a familiar fairytale set in Jazz-era New Orleans with an African-American princess. Oprah Winfrey is the voice of her mother Eudora. Disney's first traditional, hand-drawn animation since 2004; it's scored by Randy Newman.
CGI
TR2N (Tron 2)
A CGI-souped-up sequel to the '80s sci-fi masterpiece directed by Joseph Kosinski that includes a Jeff Bridges cameo. No official release date yet, but word is 2010.
Burton Does Alice (in Wonderland)
Johnny Depp adds Mad Hatter to his collection of quirky thespian hats in Tim Burton's live-action CGI version of Alice in Wonderland.
Prince of Persia
Ubisoft's addition to the game-to-movie trend. Prince Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) and princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) try to stop an evil ruler from unleashing a world-snuffing sandstorm. Expect a nicely buffed-up Gyllenhaal and some snake-shooting bad guys.
G-Force
Guinea-pig secret agents ally to prevent a billionaire from destroying the world in Bruckheimer's live-action/CGI kid flick. The vocal cast is a Hollywood who's who including Penelope Cruz, Nicolas Cage and Steve Buscemi.
Comedy
Bedtime Stories
The bedtime stories Uncle Skeeter (Adam Sandler) tells his niece and nephew magically come true. When the children start editing his tales then things get truly wacky.
Old Dogs
Old dogs John Travolta and Robin Williams are up to old tricks with Wild Hogs director Walt Becker. The two middle-aged men's lives turn topsy-turvy when they get saddled with 7-year-old twins.
The Proposal
An Anne Fletcher (27 Dresses) rom-com with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. To avoid deportation, an editor marries her assistant. When the couple meets his folks, they're ambushed by a surprise wedding.
Wild Hogs 2
William Macy reportedly hinted that the sequel may center on Dudley, specifically on his character's marriage and the gang's plan to take him out on one last highway hoorah.
Drama, Thrillers & Musicals - Oh My!
High School Musical 3
The East High bunch channel their hopes and fears about their futures into a spring musical. Get ready for 10 new original songs.
Race to Witch Mountain
A reboot of 1975's Escape to Witch Mountain starring Carla Gugino and The Rock. Paranormal, alien, teen pair Tony and Tia are still on the run from those who want to exploit their powers.
The Surrogates
Sci-fi thriller based on the Top Shelf comic-book series. In a world where humans live in isolation and interact through better-looking, surrogate robots, agent Thomas Greer (Bruce Willis) investigates the murders of others' surrogates.
National Treasure 3
The script is still speculation but reportedly Cage clued MTV News into a possible setting for the sequel -- somewhere "in the South, maybe in New Orleans."
Doubt
Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman wrestle with religion and morality in a dark drama about a nun's battle with a priest she suspects of sexual abuse.
