Desperate Housewives ... Now Where Were We?
Let's take a trip down memory lane to recall what those Wisteria Lane ladies were up to when the 3-month break started.
ABC
It seems like it's been forever since we had a new episode of Desperate Housewives, and it's actually been three months. Even ABC realizes that it's been too long. They are replaying the last two episodes shown on Thursday night. What the heck did happen last on Wisteria Lane? The last two episodes were basically the tornado episode and the aftermath episode. During the tornado, Gaby's (Eva Longoria Parker) husband, Victor (John Slattery) was killed, as was neighbor Ida and Adam's stalker, Sylvia. I still crack up when I remember Sylvia being sucked out the door. It looked like Lara Flynn Boyle flying off the roof on Las Vegas and a witch in some movie that I vaguely remember. I could just picture her in a black dress with striped stockings... Ha! Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) was badly injured after tussling with Victor. He's blind and hadn't told Gaby yet. Gaby didn't inherit a plug nickel from Victor, as his dad, Milton, informed her that Victor was heartbroken over her affair with Carlos and also that everything was in Milton's name. Carlos had millions stashed in a Cayman Island account, but during the storm, Gaby and Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) fought over the paperwork and it was lost, leaving them with no way to access or retrieve the money. So Gaby and Carlos are broke, but they have each other. Bree (Marcia Cross) and her family are homeless after the tornado did major damage. They are temporarily living with Susan (Terri Hatcher) and Julie (Andrea Bowen) while awaiting repairs. Mike (James Denton) is in rehab, Susan is pregnant, and Bree feels needed again. Bree has carried out her faux pregnancy and is now pretending that her daughter Daniele's baby is hers. They are having difficulties finding a contractor, so they may be with Susan for awhile. Susan and Julie don't mind as Bree is such a little Sally Homemaker and takes such good care of them. Lynette (Felicity Huffman) had an epiphany and realized just how self absorbed she'd been. First, right before the tornado hit, Karen (Kathryn Joosten) called her out on her being a user and then after the tornado she found out that Ida, who sacrificed her own life for Lynette's kids, had some awesome stories to tell, if Lynette had bothered to ask or listen. Lynette and Karen spread Ida's ashes on the nearby baseball field while singing "The All American Girls Professional Baseball League Song." Okay, they weren't singing that song, but it was sure stuck in my head after they found Ida's souvenirs from her time in the league. At the Mayfair's, Katherine (Dana Delany) kicked Adam out of the house after finding out about his affair with Sylvia. While he was packing his things in the attic room, he found the note that Katherine's aunt had written on her death bed. I can't help but think that Katherine must not be such a Sally Homemaker after all, as I know that if it were Bree's home, that note would have been found and discarded months ago. Anyway, they haven't yet told us what that note contained, but it must have been pretty powerful stuff. When Adam confronted Katherine with it, she lost what little color she has. She tore it up and threw it into the fireplace, but Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca) fetched the pieces and we were left with a scene of her putting the note back together. For Sunday's episode of Desperate Housewives, I've seen teasers of Dylan telling what was in the note, and of Gaby and Carlos being remarried. Of course, things are never quite what they seem on Wisteria Lane, and I'm sure that we're in for a wild ride. Most Popular Stories
