For CSI fans and those who want to know if Sarah Chalke is the mom on How I Met Your Mother, read on for details from CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler:

--On William Petersen's departure from CSI after episode 10 of next season: "I don't think you replace Billy, but you look at adding elements to the show that are going to invigorate and contribute to the alchemy. They've created a great character: He's a doctor or scientist who's got a very interesting DNA that is going to inform the duality of the character. ... I call it the DVR-proof season of CSI." Tassler said the character will be played "by an actor of stature," but no details yet.

--On whether Britney Spears saved How I Met Your Mother: "She certainly didn't save it. It was never in danger. The show is something we're very proud of." Plus: Sarah Chalke (who plays Ted's doctor crush, Stella) will return for several episodes next season, but: "Right now, I don't think she's the mother."

--On the cult hit Moonlight, whose cancellation caused a furor among fans: "Everybody knows I love vampires, witches, warlocks ... I love them all. But right now. I don't question the choice we made." She's also not getting as much hate mail, apparently. Now, those bags of peanuts from Jericho fans ... that's probably a different story.

--On the rumor that The Price Is Right will be completely overhauled next season: "No." Did anyone hear that rumor? Anyone?

--On the low-rated summer series Swingtown, which has taken a critical beating: "We're behind the show, and we're proud of it." That said, she wouldn't comment on the future of the show. I'm actually amazed that this question came up, because: Who cares?
