For reasons I can't even begin to understand, Britney Spears and her "Piece of Me" video have been nominated for Video of the Year at this year's VMAs. To check out the video, click here. She'll go up against the Jonas Brothers for the top MTV award.
She's also nominated for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video with the same song, where she's up against artists like Mariah Carey and Jordin Sparks.
So, uh, this is kind of like a semi-official successful comeback, isn't it? I mean, it's not a Grammy, but still. The progress she's made since last year is tremendous.
