Big Hitter: Smokin' Aces, Wanted 2, Pirates 4, Slumdog Millionaire, and Anchorman!

Plus Transformers 2 gets a new gal and the notion that the Ocean's franchise should go prequel.

Movies This Weekend That Might Interest You
I hear through my circle of friends that Madagascar 2 is worth a watch. I liked Role Models my own self. Not sure about Soul Men but I wasn't loving the trailer. Or maybe just see if RocknRolla is playing in your neck of the woods. Synecdoche, NY is worth seeing if you really want to ponder things for the rest of the day. If you DO see it email me to tell me what it all means.

Press Releases of Note
It looks as though we'll be giving away some Hellboy II DVDs next week. Personally, I hated the film. But I want to be respectful of those who didn't.

Sequel Rumor of the Day
Buckle up. Smokin' Aces is gonna get a prequel. Wanted 2's writer is sad he killed off all his characters. The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen new girl is named Isabel Lucas. Shockingly, she's fairly attractive. Next up, Russell Brand might be Capt. Jack's new best friend for Pirates 4. Finally, we're never going to get an Ocean's 14. My take? Allright, then what about an Ocean's 10?

Quote of the Day
"Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder."

What I Watched Last Night Besides a Movie
I actually mostly watched a movie. Slumdog Millionaire. Good flick, from the guy who made Trainspotting. Sort of a love story, partly a coming of age tale about the Indian slums. I'd give it an A- or a B+ and encourage you to see it if only because it's innovative. Heck, if this week breaks right I may even write up a review. You never know. Depends how the Twilight cast treats me at the junket.

What I'm Reading Right Now
Click: What Millions of People are Doing Online and Why it Matters. Kind of a homework title, obviously. I did learn that the 6th most popular "how to" search term for December '07 was "how to levitate". Classic.
