The first week of Big Brother 9 has been like Big Brother on speed. We've already had an outside foundation demanding an apology, the race card shown, the first sexual encounters, contestant meltdowns and lemming group lynching. Good grief, they are exhausting me!

The first night we were shown Adam calling the autistic children that he supposedly works with "retards." Sheila called him on it and instead of apologizing, he attempted to justify it. What a moron. Well, now a national autism advocacy group is demanding an apology from CBS. If this is sounding familiar, it was just last season that CBS got into hot water for airing anti-Semitic comments from another contestant. That wasn't in week one, however.

There seems to be some question on why Parker was cast. Jen told some of the houseguests that she believed he was cast as her partner because, during her interviews, she told them that Ryan had race issues. She told them that he had gotten upset with her before because she dated a black man. When Ryan found out what Jen was saying, he understandably was upset. He seemed more upset that, according to him, America now thinks he's a racist than about whether it was true or not. I was surprised that Jen would say something like that about her real life partner to people that she's really just met. Was she campaigning for votes? Maybe.

Big Brother seems to have gotten their wish in regards to sex. In the first eight seasons, there was really only one encounter, but in less than two weeks of season nine, there have been two that I know of. Jen and Ryan have been living together, so I wasn't too surprised at their liaison, but the Matt / Natalie encounter was disturbing. I wouldn't have been so upset had Matt not just told his buddies that he was going to get her to do it, and his little smirk for the camera afterwards didn't endear him to me either.

Amanda had the first contestant meltdown and I halfway expected her to DOR. The group lemming mentality was in full force Sunday night. The words that came out of Josh's mouth to her were appalling. For me, there is very little worse than a man calling a female what he called her. The way I was brought up, if he called me or mine that, he'd better watch his back forever. Amanda has not been an angel, and she deserved to be called out about her stirring up drama, but there was absolutely no reason for Josh and Chelsia to attack her the way that they did. They got nasty personal.

Every single person in that house is a backstabbing, two-faced game player. For them to allow that attack on Amanda lowered them all in my opinion. None of them stood up to those two. I guess it is a relief that it's someone other than them, but soon it will be. And for Josh and Chelsia to end it with a comment about her hanging herself like her father did was the pits. Low blow and uncalled for. And they laughed about it later... sad.

Either Jen and Parker or Ryan and Allison will be leaving on Wednesday. They may be the lucky ones. The way this group has jumped into the drama and negativity, I wonder if anyone will still be standing when this is all over. They keep talking about karma; well they've called up a bunch of bad karma for themselves this weekend.

Will I keep watching? Of course, I will. It will be interesting to watch them turn on themselves when they've gotten rid of all the "evil" people. By then, of course, there will be different evil people. Big Brother 9 has definitely not been boring so far.
