I don't think it would be a big stretch to say that Big Brother 9's twists have gone bust so far. Their secret couple is no longer a secret, their exes are still exes, and one is still in the house. The soulmates seem to be the show's worst nightmares. If this were April 1st, I'd almost expect Julie Chen to come on the screen and tell the houseguests, "April Fool's, we were just joking!"

The only soulmates that seem to even really get along are James and Chelsia. Our first power couple, Jen and Parker, are hardly ever around each other; our first Head of Household couple, Alex and Amanda, had a major screaming match today; our gay couple, Neil and Joshuah, had one half leave; and our secret couple had sex in the bathroom. Oy vey.

There has been so much junior high drama in this house so far that I'm expecting major burnout. They'd split the house into two groups before the feeds were even turned on. I had a Big Brother 6 flashback when Josh and Chelsia were talking about getting rid of the evil people. Ick. Partners are conspiring against each other and I think they secretly imported the Mean Girls.

Neil supposedly had some kind of family emergency and had to leave. Joshuah was given a choice of playing on with either Sharon or Jacob, and he chose Sharon. He played "Billy Bad Ass" around Chelsia, Sheila and Allison, telling them that he told her that the team is going to vote his way since he saved her. But around her, he was very congenial, telling her that after she'd gathered her information, they'd talk.

No sooner had Sharon come back in that she was swallowed back up into the upstairs clique. That group at this moment seems to be Alex / Amanda, Parker / Jen, Matt / Natalie and now Sharon. The downstairs clique is made up of the others and used to include Joshuah and Neil. They are the ones that refer to the upstairs clique as the evil people.

I don't consider them evil, but I don't give them any points for brainpower. They've obviously failed mathematics. There are seven teams. If you are a group of three teams and have Head of Household, then effectively your clique only has 2 votes now and the other group still has 4 votes. I understand wanting to split up Jen and Ryan, but why would you put up one of your allies? Alex and Amanda have basically killed their own alliance. Now that they've put up Parker and Jen, their alliance now has only one vote and the others still have three. Do you think the downstairs group will vote out one of their own, Ryan and Allison, over one of yours? Uh, no.

If Parker and Jen do not win the veto, or are not saved by the veto, they are gone. For some reason, Jen has been chosen to be Resident Evil by all sides, and even her partner wants her gone (I told you they don't get points for brain power). Parker is not an angel in all this, even though he's getting good editing. He's a pot stirrer and keeps drama simmering. I think his mouth will also be a factor in their doom.

These people have a long 5 days before they vote. The only ones enjoying themselves are Ryan and Jen. If they are playing this hard now, what are they going to do in a few weeks? Hope Big Brother 9 has bought stock in Tums and Valium. I think this group will need it.
