Big Brother 9: Tex's Take on the New Twist
Change is in the air. What effect will the new twist have on the houseguests' plans?
CBS
Posted by Ladytex I love it!! Call me a meanie, but I was cracking up at the expressions on Allison's face at the end of the Big Brother live eviction show. They ran the gamut from sadness to confusion to exaltation to smug to oh crap. For the past couple of days she was so sure that the siren was going to save her and when it appeared to do just that, she had a look of such gloating on her face. Then when she heard Julie Chen say that only one of them would be evicted, she knew that she was toast and her face dropped. But I bet she didn't anticipate a 6-0 vote. That was brutal. And I don't think Joshuah and Sharon have truly smiled since the siren went off. Sure Joshua was pleased that Allison was truly gone, but they went from what they thought of as Final Four to one of the hunted. Sharon even admitted that it totally destroyed her game plan. They thought they had the whole thing figured out. Oops. I think the girls are screwed with the dissolving of the couples. The boys had already bonded into what I've been calling the Little Boys Club and they've been strategizing and plotting since the beginning. There are some cracks in their club, but I'm thinking they will take out a few of the girls before they give up their numbers. The girls have done nothing much more than cause drama. Chelsia and Sharon are strong players, but I don't see them really bonding with Natalie and Sheila to get themselves further in the game. In fact, I see Chelsia and James staying together and Sharon and Joshuah staying as a pair. That doesn't mean that James won't work with the boys to get the other two girls out. And the boys are in power this week. With Ryan as Head of Household, Matt will probably be as arrogant and obnoxious as he's ever been in the house. Ryan seems to be the true blue sort and he'll probably not nominate either Matt or Adam. Matt is already trying to get him to nominate Joshuah and Sharon, but he's being noncommittal. His boys have also planted the Nat/Sheila seeds into his head. They were the happiest of all at the news that they'd be playing singles, and it would totally amuse them to have their exes on the block. I don't think Natalie or Sheila even realize that they're in any danger. Last they heard before the split, the targets this week would be Joshuah, Sharon, James and Chelsia. Those four, however, realize they're in danger and Chelsia has made overtures to Ryan. She thinks she's one of the 'bros'. Poor Ryan. He thought he'd have a couple of days to decide who to nominate, but was quickly told that he had less than a day. This twist has totally energized the house. The houseguests are scrambling like the hamsters they are. I'm excited, too. Although I may not like the houseguests, they've been entertaining and now even more so. And I can't wait until one of the evicted houseguests walk back in next week. Who do you think it will be? I'm thinking it will be Alex or Amanda. I'll totally be laughing hysterically if it's Allison. I hope, for Ryan's sake, though, that it's not Jen. It'll be interesting to see how the Big Brother house shakes out this week. The game has changed, and for the better. There are so many new possibilities. I'm looking forward to more game playing and less trying to hook up now. Maybe Natalie will stop stalking Matt now ... nah, I doubt it. Hang on tight, y'all, it's gonna be a crazy ride this week. Got a question? Ask Big Brother Here.
