The feeds went on at midnight, and whether we just got lucky or the houseguests had been saving up just for us, we sure got our money's worth.

What seems to have happened is this: under constant pressure from Parker to get rid of Ryan, Jen has admitted that she and Ryan are a secret couple, and that Ryan was going to have to be her priority. Since Ryan and Allison were not in Parker's and Jen's alliance (right now, the others in the alliance are Matt/Natalie and Alex/Amanda), Parker was irritated, and that irritation made Ryan irritated. Parker understandably feels his game is badly compromised now by having a "soulmate" with divided alliances. Jen and Parker are talking it over calmly now, but it didn't sound very calm for a few minutes there. Parker has taken to wearing a crown, possibly Dustin's crown from last year. Nice karma there, guy.

Other news since the feeds came on:

* Alex and Amanda are the new Power Couple, and there will be nominations tomorrow (I think). It appears that Ryan/Allison, James/Chelsia, and Joshuah/Neil are also an alliance of sorts, although this might be an alliance of convenience--needed to act as an alliance because they're not in the other alliance. Sheila and Adam look to be circling outside the alliance system and look to be a possibly easy boot coming up next week. Both seem to be getting along individually with others, but they don't seem to be interacting with each other much.

* Jacob and Sharon appear to have been evicted, so my prediction that Jacob wouldn't make it past March 1 is looking pretty strong. If a pair had to go this soon, this was the pair; Jacob just didn't look like he was ever going to be that interesting, and Sharon didn't seem much better. The reasons behind Jen's and Parker's decision to boot them are still unknown.

* The process of fleshing out personalities will be continuing over the next several days--in the case of Mike last year, his personality remained pretty bony--but we're learning some things about Amanda and Allison in particular. Ex-gambler Allison turns out to be quite the silly drunk, which wasn't quite what I was expecting from the Mother Teresa alumna. Amanda is in a partial power position now due to being half of the current Power Couple, but I'm surprised to see her as active tonight as she's been: stirring the pot, making the rounds with several players, and generally belying whatever small town girl image she had coming into the game.

* There seems to be a lot of inhibitions lost already, so that's a postive.
