Big Brother 11: In Other News

Is it just me or is this season starting off pretty boring? The 'Have And Have Nots' twist doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. Ronnie's enjoying losing some weight and Chima and Michele aren't having too hard of a time with things. Although, the sad look that comes over Ronnie's face when he's in the kitchen is hilarious.

There were a couple of interesting things that happened last night though. Everybody (except Jordan who had gone to bed) was in the recycling room at one point and the talk inevitably turned to sex. I won't go into all of that here but you can flashback and watch it last night if you missed it. After that talk, Chima made a stunning announcement to everybody: she had been attacked and raped by a serial killer/rapist.

After getting over the initial shock of what she'd just said, the other houseguests started asking her questions about it and she began to reveal quite a few details. Chima was raped in her sorority house back in 1999. She was also beaten enough in her face to require two surgeries afterwards. It was a horrible story to listen to but at least her rapist was eventually caught, linked to other rapes and murders, prosecuted, and executed. An old pen pal request of his is quite interesting to say the least.

Also last night, Lydia and Natalie confronted each other and eventually made up. Now, they're BFFs. Isn't that special? Trying to save her own ass, Lydia helped convince Jessie, Natalie, and Russell to use the POV. When they finished their discussion, it was decided that Russell would use the POV and take Chima off the block. Jessie would then put up Braden with the intention of Braden being voted out of the house.

I can't fault Lydia at all for playing the game, but I really don't like her in-your-face personality. She's either in full on game mode or ultra mellow/depressed/paranoid. Take heart all of you Braden fans out there. There's still plenty of time between now and Thursday and we all know how often things can change. Personally, I'm perfectly fine with Lydia going home.

And now, while I'm writing this, the hamsters decide to give me some drama. Russell and Jeff are fighting! Not fist fighting but yelling and screaming at each other. Russell yells like a girl and makes no sense. Technotronics! Technotronics! Apparently, Jeff misspelled that word in the POV competition yesterday and Russell's upset about it. In the end, it doesn't even matter because you won the POV Russell! What an idiot! And when Russell finally leaves the backyard (and Jeff) to go back inside, Natalie starts up with Jeff.

Now Jeff and Natalie are yelling at each other. Damn, Natalie's voice hurts my ears. I think these people have lost their ever-lovin' minds. And it's about time! I hope you're watching all of this one the feeds! If you missed it, you'll need to flashback to check it all out. It's quite amusing!

So what are your thoughts on these first couple of days of feeds and all of the drama (and non-drama) in the house?

Update - Russell just told Laura and Casey that he'll be using it on Lydia. So now maybe it's changed to save Lydia. Regardless, the target is still Braden.
