On last night's episode of The Bachelor, there were three dates, two one-on-one dates, and one group date with one rose given out on each. If the ladies on the one-on-one dates did not get a rose, they were sent straight home. Holly was chosen to go to a movie premiere, Shayne got a wine tasting date, and the other ladies played rugby.

Holly got the first date. She and Matt went to Mann's Chinese Theater to see a special showing of Made of Honor, starring Patrick Dempsey. There was the red carpet, the paparazzi and the hand prints in the cement. They had the theater all to themselves and really seemed to have a great time. After the movie, they continued their date in a penthouse suite.

Matt said he felt really comfortable with Holly, but wondered if he felt too comfortable. He didn't know if there would be sparks. As they sat in the hot tub and kissed, it was obvious that his concern was unfounded. There was plenty of electricity between them, and yes, she did receive the rose.

For the group date, Matt taught the ten girls to play his sport, rugby. He was really impressed by Robin's willingness to step up and learn the game. Chelsea was the star of the game, but was overshadowed by Marshana, who took an elbow to the mouth. She got some alone time and pampering from Matt and the other girls weren't happy about that. After the game, Matt took them back to his place to hang out. Kelly got to give Matt a massage, but Robin came away with the rose.

For Shayne's date, Matt took her to a wine estate looking for romance. She was, at first, very reticent in talking about her family even though Matt was asking questions. She finally did tell him that her father was Lorenzo Lamas, but Matt didn't know who he was. There is some serious chemistry between them, but Matt's concerns about Shayne were mostly about her age, 22, and the fact that she is an actress. In talking about her, he did have the best line of the night: "Sometimes I think she's one sandwich short of a picnic, but the other times I think she's the best thing since sliced bread." Shayne got a rose.

Then it was time for the cocktail party and third Rose Ceremony. The women were jockeying for position and some were more forward than others. Even though she already had a rose, Robin interrupted Amy's one-on-one time with Matt. The others were not happy with her and Amy; Shayne and Kelly stole him back. They ganged up on Robin about how she was acting, and she told them that she was going to fight for what she wants.

At the Rose Ceremony, there were only six more roses to be presented but nine more ladies. Robin, Shayne, and Holly already had roses. Matt presented the remaining roses to Amanda, Ashlee, Kelly, Chelsea, Noelle and Marshana, sending Erin, Amy and Kristine home. The most surprising of these was Amy. They seemed to really hit it off. Matt continued to impress me with his sense of humor and personality.

Next week on The Bachelor: London Calling: Everyone hates Robin ... except Matt. See you then.
