Alliances are Made to be Broken
Guest blogger Mockingbird breaks down the game as we head towards the biggest episode of the season.
Just when you thought everything was going according to plan in Big Brother, Zach comes along and slip-slides his way right into a HOH victory and in doing so, changes everyone’s game. Dick, Daniele, Jess and Eric reverted back to their respective alliances, both of which tried to sway the new HOH. All Zach had to do was choose which alliance to align with and when all was said and done, he chose Dick and Daniele. He undoubtedly weighed the odds of who he thought he would fare better against should he make it to the final two. Choosing Dick and Daniele over Jess was a good strategic choice. Leaving Jameka in the game presents the same problem as far as final two, but her still having to sit out one more HOH competition has kept her in the house, for now. Daniele won the POV this week and her decision to not use it (coupled with the fact that she and Dick control the majority of the votes) means they were once again in control of the game. They have a great opportunity to break up the only other strong alliance in the house by evicting Jess. It is a sweet spot for Dick and Daniele to be sitting in, and who can blame them for taking advantage of it, certainly not Jess and Eric who would be sure to do the same thing if the situation were reversed this week. There is no doubt Jess is kicking herself in her pompoms right now as she wanted so badly to get Daniele out of the house when she had the chance, fearing that keeping her would be a big mistake. Hmmm seems that visions DO come true in the Big Brother house after all. It has been said that Jess may come to regret putting so much trust in Eric, and with her mentioning again that she did not want to evict Amber, it seems she is nearing that point. If America votes for Eric to evict her and the vote is 3-0, she will undoubtedly feel like a fool. My hope is that America was kind enough to allow him to throw her a vote, doing otherwise just seems cruel, not only to Eric but to Jess as well. And poor Eric, he went from sitting on top of the world last week to wallowing in the gutter. He lost the HOH competition, gave away a phone call home, lost the POV competition (where he made an ass out of himself with the comments regarding Janelle) and his girl is on the block likely to be evicted. Talk about a rough week! Short of being evicted him self, things couldn’t be worse for America’s Player. Oh did I mention Janelle? I guess I did, but she deserves another mention so here goes; the buxom blonde bombshell was back in the Big Brother house and it was great to see her again. She hosted a late night POV competition and charmed her way through it in typical Janelle fashion, being sweet to the girls and flirty with the guys, well okay flirty mostly with Dick. It was so fun to see Dick turn on the charm and just as much fun to watch Janelle respond. I do think that she would have been tickled pink though if Eric HAD fallen into the pool. But that aside, she did a great job! And finally the long awaited live double eviction takes place this week. It is without a doubt one of the most exciting hours of the Big Brother season. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out, and to see just who will be sharing another trip outside the house, only this time…to sequester. Most Popular Stories
