Wow. Congratulations to Adam, the new Big Brother 9 Head of Household. I didn't expect that outcome. He's the ultimate fence sitter. He's been heard to say that he didn't want to win Head of Household. Now that he's got the power, what will he do with it?

The pendulum has shifted again and those that were in power last week are in the most danger. It's their own fault, though. It never fails: those in power always seem to forget that the power only lasts for a week. They lord it over the others and burn bridges.

I have high hopes for Adam, though, that he'll remain down to earth. After a rough start, he's grown on me. He may be one of the nicest people in that house. His hygiene and personal habits gross me out, but he's all right. If he could only rid himself of the albatross, Sheila, he'd be more alright. Just kidding ... sort of.

For someone who professes, in public, to hate Adam, did you see how Sheila celebrated his victory? She's going to act like she's the Queen Bee this week. I think she's gonna be the one going on a power trip, unless he puts his foot down. Message board posts that I've been reading have been suggesting that both sides should bury the hatchet for one week and agree to get her out of there, and then take up arms again.

Sheila and Natalie think Adam is stupid. They talk to him like he's a child. They've been yammering at him since he won. Actually, I think most of the people in that house think he's stupid. He may be socially awkward, but I think he sees more than most people realize. Tonight he didn't want to talk game, but Natalie won't shut up. She tells him to do what he needs to do ... and then proceeds to tell him what she thinks he needs to do over and over.

The four that were in power last week are amusing me now, too. They are pouting and sulking and nominations haven't even been done yet. James had the nerve to tell Adam that he did not want to be backdoored. They think they can convince Adam to nominate only one of them and Sheila. Are they on drugs?

So who will he put up? My thoughts are James and Chelsia. They are a strong couple and both do well in competitions. The problem with that is that they are both strong at competitions and one may win POV. That's okay, though, there are spares in that alliance to throw up. I'm ornery, though, and after James basically threatened Adam about backdooring him, I'd do it. That would make Natalie happy, after what James did to Matt. Sheila wants Joshuah up, because he went off on her earlier. No one seems to like Chelsia, so she's in everyone's equation.

Nominations are Friday afternoon. If Adam is smart, he won't let anyone know what he's going to do until then. I'll be back with my power rankings on Friday, and any new developments will be noted in our Big Brother 9 Audio Blog. Catch y'all later.
