Released: June 27th

Studio: 20th Century Fox

Rating: PG-13

Running Time: 130 Minutes

Why: This is how you deliver action. I was terrified when I learned about Live Free or Die Hard, the first Die Hard in a dozen years. But even though it wasn't rated R it still was the best action film of the summer by far. The only chance to catch it? The Bourne Ultimatum.

Would Have Been Rated Higher If: If they had shown the inevitable unrated DVD instead.

Critical Love: If Peter Travers loved it, who are we to blow against the wind?

Box Office: $194m. It will make its money back, and then some, but it's not a home run. Too much competition this summer for a breakaway.

DVD Info: N/A. But as I said, it will have to be unrated and McClane will be in full cursing glory. In other words... you'll be buying it.
