Why: Reign Over Me is a classic buddy movie with tremendous performances by both Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler. You know Cheadle is always rock solid, but wouldn't you like to enjoy Sandler again after the latest string of horrific comedies he's starred in?
Would Have Been Rated Higher If: At times it's a little sentimental. But I'd watch it again right now. A great portrayal of grief.
Critical Love: 63% on Rotten Tomatoes? C'mon, you guys are better than that. And a 61 on Metacritic? Clearly the users, with an 8.5 out of 10 are a better indicator.
Box Office:$21.1m. That's not too good, but the production budget was only $20m and I'm sure they'll make a bunch back in merchandising. Who doesn't want a Reign Over Me lunch pail? I know I do.
DVD Info: Not yet, but I would guess it will be near the holiday season.
