It's DVD Tuesday time! MaryAnn graciously spelled me for a week and now my batteries are recharged (and also recyclable). I've got five titles for you this week, one is inevitable, one is horrible, one is horrible but wonderful, and two are classical, though in different senses of the word. Whew. I'm worn out again. Never fear, the DVD Tuesday Preview is here!

Buy:

1. Disturbia
I just don't think we can fight it anymore. We've all been Shia'd. It started many years ago on Project Greenlight. It continued when Disturbia somehow won the box office three weekends in a row. Then Transformers slammed it home. Why fight it anymore? If you don't buy this I assume Shia will just show up at your house and pummel you.

2. The Muppet Show Season Two (HD DVD)
Why do we always come here? I guess we'll never know. It's like some kind of torture - to have to watch the show! For those opening lyrics alone this is a brilliant effort. Ten total hours of episodes, 24 from the 1977 season including the epic Valentine Special. Buy this and entrance your kids.

Rental?

3. The Hills: The Complete Second Season
This is one of my secret shames, that I watch The Hills. Everything about it is uber-horrible... and yet I can't turn away, not even for money. The absolute best / worst is the song "Unwritten" which is so cheesy I actually made nachos with it the last time the show was on. Seriously, at least rent this. You'll feel both icky and entertained, all at the same time.

No Thanks:

4. Are We Done Yet?
This was universally reviled. I think even Ice Cube's mom mentioned she didn't care for it. Man, that's cold mom.

Data Inconclusive:

5. Rome The Complete Second Season
I lost HBO before the second season (due to a bet) so I didn't see any of season two. But I loved season one. And no one has mentioned to me that season two was tripe. So I'm going to assume it's not.

That's all for now. MaryAnn will see you next Tuesday!
