Classic Movie Clip: Deliverance - Dueling Banjos
Warner Bros.
Sweet music, innocent youth, and the great outdoors, Deliverance (1972) had it all. This simple canoe trip started off so well; who would possibly think there'd be something evil in the air (not Ned Beatty apparently). The banjo-playing boy in this clip was played by 16 year-old Billy Redden, apparently still kicking out the jams in Clayton, Georgia. You can also catch him as "Banjo Man" in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Director: John Boorman
I wouldn't of thought of this clip without seeing it on Velociman's blog. Thanks V! Tomorrow's classic clip? Another summer vacation gone horribly wrong, unless you have a better idea.
