Veteran character actor of the New York stage who also worked occasionally in films and TV. LeMassena made his Broadway stage debut in 1940, appearing in the Lunt-Fontanne production of "The Taming of the Shrew". He was reunited with the famed acting duo on Broadway and on tour in several productions. LeMassena remained a NY theater staple on and off Broadway through the 70s. His first film role of note was the Heavenly Friend in "Carousel" (1956) and his subsequent credits include "The World of Henry Orient" (1964), "Where's Poppa?" (1970), and "All That Jazz" (1979).
