Virna Lisi

Picturesque Italian blonde who appeared in a number of melodramas and costume extravaganzas before evolving into a glamorous international lead in the 1960s. Lisi made her American film debut opposite Jack Lemmon in "How to Murder Your Wife" (1965). Her peak years petered out in the early 70s but she continued to work internationally and, some years later, attracted considerable attention for her splashy role in the lush historical drama, "Queen Margot" (1994).
