Although he had dabbled in acting while a student at Pace University, Vincent Pastore didn't get serious about it until befriending Matt and Kevin Dillon while running a nightclub in New Rochelle, New York. After meeting Kevin's manager, he was soon pursuing the business in earnest, and he thought he had it made when his first film, Nancy Savoca's "True Love" (1989), won the Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize.
