The son of a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter, Tony Gilroy penned scripts for several popular and successful films of the late 1990s and early 21st century, including the entire “Bourne” trilogy of action-espionage films. In 2007, he made the jump to directing with “Michael Clayton,” an effective character drama about a legal troubleshooter who undergoes a moral crisis.
