A handsome yet typical-looking adolescent actor of TV and features, Thomas Ian Nicholas earned his first starring film role at age 12 in the baseball fantasy comedy "Rookie of the Year" (1993). Previously he had appeared in "Radio Flyer" (1992), portrayed the son of an agoraphobic Christine Lahti in the made-for-cable "The Fear Inside" (Showtime, 1992), and did guest spots on several TV series including "Who's the Boss?", "Married With Children" and "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman".
