This very busy, high-energy film producer was already winning awards for photography while attending high school in her native Los Angeles. After completing graduate studies in London, Schwartz made several films with Roger Corman's New World Pictures, first as assistant director then eventually as producer, including "Candy Stripe Nurses" (1974), "Eat My Dust" (1976) and "The Bees" (released 1978.
