According to California court records, Sean Penn has filed a request to dismiss his legal separation case. The actor filed for separation from wife Robin Wright Penn just last month, but has told New York's Daily News, "It was an arrogant mistake."

This is the second separation saga for the Penns. In December 2007, both Sean and Robin filed divorce papers, but in April 2008, the petition was dismissed at the couple's request. Sean and Robin have been married for 13 years and have two children, Dylan, 18, and Hopper Jack, 15.
