Another day, another Rosie feud. Rosie O'Donnell visited Late Night With Conan O'Brien yesterday to promote her Rosie Live! variety special on NBC, but couldn't help stoking the publicity fire generated by her remarks about former boss Barbara Walters on The View.
After likening her memories of her time on The View to "flashbacks like Vietnam vets," O'Donnell appeared contrite, saying, "It was a good experience. It wasn't something I regret doing by any stretch of the imagination, but it didn't end well. ... Truthfully, in spite of the fact that [Barbara] now loathes me, I still do enjoy her."
Earlier in the week, Rosie ignited Barbara Walters' ire by telling reporters that there was little camaraderie among the hosts of the daytime chatfest, despite what The View creator Walters would like you to think.
Walters responded on Thursday morning's program with some pointed remarks directed at Rosie, although she didn't name her: "There are some people who have done this show and then for years feel they have to dump on it, maybe for their own publicity."
Later that day, Rosie filmed the following video on her blog:
Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
