Top talent agent with the high powered CAA, credited with expanding the agency's literary services since joining the company from the publishing world in 1981. With Jack Rapke, Swedlin headed CAA's motion picture literary department and since 1990, she ran the agency's overall motion picture department along with Rapke and Rick Nicita. She left in 1991 to set up her own production unit at Universal.
