Tall, rubber-faced character actor Richard Kind made an impression on a wide variety of audiences with his affable and versatile performances. Though he was perhaps best known for his supporting roles on the sitcoms “Mad About You” (NBC, 1992-99) and “Spin City” (ABC, 1996-02), Kind had appeared in numerous theatrical releases, dramatic and musical stage productions, contributed his voice to many animated projects, and logged countless hours of television episodes.

Born Nov. 22, 1956 in Trenton, NJ, and raised in Bucks County, PA, Kind was the oldest of two children born to father Samuel Kind,
