This attractive ingénue first caught moviegoers' attention as the corn-fed, serious-minded Midwestern girlfriend of Danny Hoch's hip-hop gangsta wannabe in "Whiteboys" (1999). A native of New Jersey, Piper Perabo was not on screen often in that film but she managed to convey her character's determination and caring in a few short scenes.
