This hard-working character actor has appeared in numerous films and TV shows since the mid-1980s, often in Hispanic or Italian roles. Born in Puerto Rico but raised in Manhattan, Calderon got his start onstage after a stint in the Army. His off-Broadway shows have included "Short Eyes", "The Trial of Sgt. Deluca", "Richard III", and "First Breeze of Summer".
