This boyishly handsome dark-haired actor became a television star with his portrayal of John Carter, the sweetly earnest but sometimes bungling young doctor on the hit medical drama "ER" (NBC, 1994- ). A Hollywood native, Noah Wyle (pronounced WY-lee) became interested in acting as a high school student; he acted in and directed a production of Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit".
