What can be more fun than standing by to see what out-of-this-world name a Hollywood celebrity has bestowed upon his or her newborn child?
Nicole Richie, best known for her tenure on The Simple Life and for...well, being Nicole Richie, gave birth to her second child and first son on Wednesday morning. The baby, who weighed in at seven pounds fourteen ounces, has been given the name Sparrow James Midnight Madden. It's probably not too early to speculate that Sparrow is going to have to learn self-defense skills for the playground -- either that, or prevail upon his parents to call him Midnight, which is still pretty bad.
Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden is the father of both of Richie's children. Sparrow joins big sister Harlow, who was born in January 2008.
