biography
A tall, brown-haired, blue-eyed Canadian import, Nathan Fillion possessed good looks and an honest charm that made him a particularly compelling soap opera hunk. His three-year (1994-97) stint on ABC's "One Life to Live" helped to pave the way for a budding film career and a devoted fan following for his role as Capt. Malcolm Reynolds in Joss Whedon's cult TV series "Firefly" (Fox, 2002) and the surprise film follow-up "Serenity" (2005).

A veteran of Canadian stage and television productions, Fillion, then a University of Alberta student, made his US debut in the 1993 ABC TV-movie "Ordeal in Continued
