Before Miley Cyrus departed for Savannah, Georgia, this weekend -- where she will be filming the upcoming Nicholas Sparks drama, The Last Song -- she told Us Weekly that there is one person who would not be traveling with her: her boyfriend of 9 months, Justin Gaston. "He’s got his own thing going on," she said.

Indeed, after a chain of Twitter posts, including Miley’s cryptic declaration, "My heart is in two…and its all because of you," rumors of a split became undeniable. Adding fuel to the speculation, Justin took to his own Twitter page and wrote, "Haven't been this miserable in a looong time. I thought high school was over." Well, not when you date a 16-year-old, Justin!

Could it have anything to do with Miley’s rekindled friendship with ex, Nick Jonas? On June 6 she tweeted, "I'm in a dark theater 'writing' a song with nick j" (And by ‘writing’ she meant…?) "She obviously has been hanging out with Nick again a lot, and Justin was cool with it at first, as long as it was just a cool, friendly thing," a source told E! News. "She didn't cheat, but I guess Nick was trying to get her back the whole time."

In the meantime, while Justin wonders (via Twitter, of course) when his tears will run out, Miley assures us that she is leaning on her dad, Billy Ray, for therapy. Good thing -- we hear he knows a thing or two when it comes to matters of the ‘achy breaky’ heart.
